2040. Teijo and his twin brother Takiji dreamed of becoming professional volleyball players in Japan. That is, until Teijo got banned from the sport due to an accidental breach of the rules in his final game in high school. After graduating, he gets that painful memory magically erased and leaves Japan to attend university in a foreign country, while his brother continues to pursue their dream for the two of them.

One year later, Teijo muddles his way through his new life far away from Japan where he pretends that volleyball, and even his family, no longer exist. But then Mizuko, a freshman trying to start a volleyball team at the university, interrupts his false sense of peace.
